Spanish website Onda Cero have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain have tabled an enormous three-year deal to sign Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos – who was linked with Tottenham Hotpsur in December

Ramos, 34, is out of contract in June and there is growing speculation surrounding his future. Real want to keep Ramos but numerous reports claim that they are not willing to extend his contract to the length in which Ramos would prefer.

Indeed, Ramos is said to want two more years at Real on the same wage he currently eanrs – but Real only want to offer him one year. Now, they face huge competition from PSG and Pochettino, who have tabled a mammoth three-year deal.

Not only that, but they are willing to pay him £256,000 a week – or €15million each season. The report also states that Real are unwilling to match that offer. The Standard claimed in December that Spurs were keeping an eye on his situation.

TBR’s view – Tottenham cannot cope with PSG offer

If Real Madrid are not going to match PSG’s offer, then Tottenham certainly will not. It is an offer that in these current times, is quite astounding. Even if Spurs had the most free-spending of chairmans, they would probably not match PSG’s terms.

Ramos is a top, top player and forgetting his age, he is one of the world’s best central defenders – if not, the best. He would be an enormous signing for Spurs but it seems as if Pochettino is to take advantage of his new club’s riches, with Ramos.
