Spurs are reportedly on the verge of wrapping up the Cristian Romero deal.
Tottenham have apparently been pushing to sign the Argentina defender for some weeks now.
And recent speculation has suggested Spurs have been edging closer to Romero’s signature.

The Evening Standard has reported that the Atalanta man is due in London on Thursday to finalise his £47million move.
Romero is due to complete a medical and sign a five-year deal, added the report.
Spurs could even unveil him to supporters ahead of Sunday’s home friendly against Arsenal.
“I’d sign him right away”
Romero is a defender of the highest calibre who agent Furio Valcareggi claims is the “Ronaldo of defence”.
Several weeks ago, Tuttomercatoweb asked Valcareggi whether Romero was closing in on a departure from Italy.

“He’s a great player, very good,” he replied.
“Prandelli, who has coached him, said he’s never seen such a strong player.
“If I was Paratici and Tottenham, I’d sign him right away. You’d sort out your defence for 10 years.
“It’s as if you signed Koulibaly, he’d sort out your defence right away. He’s the Ronaldo of defence.”
Spurs about to sign the Serie A defender of the year?
Romero completed 86 percent of all his passes and won 3.8 aerial duels per game last season.
In addition, he made the most interceptions in both the Serie A and the Champions League last term.
For his efforts last season, Romero won the Serie A Defender of the Year accolade.
