Report: Player has decided he wants to join Leeds after meeting with Victor Orta
Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Kristoffer Klaesson after Victor Orta has met with the player, the Athletic report.
Leeds close in
Leeds made Klaesson their number one choice to replace Kiko Casilla after he left.
And Orta has now flown to Norway to meet with Klaesson, which has convinced the goalkeeper to sign.
The 20-year-old is understood to have picked Leeds as the club he wants to sign.
The transfer should go through next week when the 20-year-old is due to fly to England to undergo his medical.
Klaesson is tipped to have a hugely bright future, despite having a limited reputation at the moment.
Signing number three
The prospect has featured regularly for three seasons for Valerenga now, despite his tender years.
He is likely to be given a back-up role for Leeds upon his immediate arrival.
But he should add further competition for places with Ilian Meslier for the number one shirt.
Klaesson will be Leeds third signing of the summer, after the captures of Lewis Bate and Junior Firpo.
