Rangers will perhaps be bracing themselves for January offers for Joe Aribo, with the Daily Record reporting that representatives from at least one Premier League club attended Ibrox at the weekend to watch the attacking midfielder.
Aribo has arguably been the Gers’ best player so far this season. The 25-year-old has stepped up while others have perhaps struggled to hit the same heights from last year.

In fact, the Nigeria international now has six goals and four assists in all competitions this term. Only Alfredo Morelos has scored more often for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Aribo also has four in his last seven top-flight games. And with his contract running into its final 18 months, it will probably come as little surprise to Rangers fans that he is wanted.
The Daily Record reports that Southampton sent a scout to watch Aribo at the weekend. It was previously claimed that Crystal Palace, Brentford and Watford all had the former Charlton man on their radar.

Interestingly, the Record reports that the Saints have had several positive reports on Aribo. So that would certainly suggest that a bid could be in the offing.
Rangers will surely look to keep Aribo until the summer at least amid Southampton links
Admittedly, Rangers are not in the strongest position. If Aribo decided to not sign a new contract, the Gers would face a dilemma about when to let him go.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men are in a good position once again this term. So it surely makes sense to hold onto Aribo until the summer at least.
Letting him leave in January may net them a higher fee, but it is hard to see Rangers finding themselves in a better place.
