Manchester United are interested in John McGinn, while Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips remains on their wishlist alongside the Aston Villa midfielder, according to a report from The Sun.
McGinn has long been linked with a switch to Old Trafford. The Sun reports that they looked at a move back in 2019, with Sir Alex Ferguson an admirer of his countryman.

It is claimed that the Villans will want at least £50 million for McGinn, having wanted that sort of price two years ago.
But he is not the only Premier League midfielder on their radar. The Sun notes that Phillips remains a target, along with Declan Rice.

Phillips has been outstanding at times in recent weeks despite Marcelo Bielsa’s men languishing towards the relegation zone. He did an amazing job of marking Harry Kane during their recent visit to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
McGinn a more attainable target for Manchester United than Phillips
Neither Aston Villa or Leeds will have much interest in selling their midfielders. Both have been vital as they have progressed from mid-table in the Championship to English football’s top table.
And both are only just approaching their peaks. But if Manchester United are going to have a little more luck with one, it is surely going to be McGinn.
Leeds look to be in greater danger of falling short of expectations this season. But Phillips would be aware of just what it would mean to Leeds fans should he swap Elland Road for Old Trafford.
Whites supporters know there is a possibility that keeping Phillips will become difficult at some stage. But there is one club the Leeds hierarchy really cannot afford to let him join.
