Newcastle United have received a boost in their reported pursuit of Dean Henderson, with The Sun reporting that Manchester United are open to loaning the goalkeeper out for 18 months.
It was recently reported that the Magpies were eyeing a move for Henderson. Eddie Howe wants to bolster his options between the sticks despite having a number of goalkeepers on the books.

And it was claimed that the 24-year-old was on their radar. However, previous reports suggested that a January move may be unlikely.
But the plans for Henderson appear to have changed. The Sun is now reporting that Manchester United are willing to loan him out.

In fact, they could let him leave until the end of next season.
Henderson has not made a single appearance in the Premier League this term. He has been on the bench for their last five fixtures in the top flight.
Henderson deal could be coup for Newcastle with Manchester United open to move
The goalkeeper position does not need to be a priority for Howe. Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow are both capable of pushing each other.
Meanwhile, Freddie Woodman looks to have a lot of potential.
But landing Henderson would be a brilliant move. He has already proved that he can be a game-changer at the highest level.
The England international was sensational while at Sheffield United. And he put pressure on David de Gea upon his return to Old Trafford.
If the opportunity is there, Newcastle must grab it with both hands.
