People inside Aston Villa are already excited about the signing of central midfielder Boubacar Kamara this summer.
Kamara has come in on a free transfer from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille and had plenty of interest from across Europe in his signature.
The Telegraph claim that there is genuine excitement around Villa Park about the new arrival, which was announced almost straight after the 2021/22 season ended.
That underlined the extent to which the club were unhappy with where they finished last term, and were keen to do early business to sort it.

Villa excited about signing Kamara
Getting that business done early has handed Kamara the chance to get settled in for as long as possible before his first season in English football.
That is important for players coming from different leagues, as the speed and intensity of the English top flight can take some by surprise.
Kamara is a talented player who can add a new dimension to the Villa midfield, and he will learn plenty from working under one of the most legendary midfielders of the Premier League era.

Kamara has previously been labelled ‘extraordinary‘ by former teammate Rolando, and Villa pulled off a coup to get him through the door.
Now, it is down to the man himself to live up to the promise and put in performances which will raise excitement further at Villa.
Villa get their campaign underway against newly-promoted Bournemouth on Saturday, in a game which sees Gerrard go head-to-head with his England midfield partner from Euro 2012 – Scott Parker.
