Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella has reportedly passed his medical at French club Nantes and will be joining the French side this summer.
It was previously reported by French publication 20 Minutes that the Spanish midfielder had agreed a three-year deal to join Nantes this summer. That report emerged over two weeks ago and many wondered why there was no development on a deal.
A week later and Goal claimed that Liverpool had offered Chirivella a five-year contract to remain on Merseyside and former Anfield hero Steven Gerrard was keen on bringing him to Rangers.
It came amid continued reports of Jurgen Klopp being extremely pleased with the player, who has shone when given a chance in the Liverpool first-team this season.
However, Liverpool appear to have missed out on keeping the 23-year-old.

It was reported by 20 Minutes earlier this week that Chirivella was scheduled in for a medical on Wednesday. Now, it is being reported by Ouest-France, that Chirivella has indeed passed that medical and will sign a three-year deal at Liverpool.
Of course, there is plenty of confusion over the switch caused by the current global health crisis. Liverpool may want to keep Chirivella onboard for the rest of the season, which would seemingly go beyond his current contract expiration date.
Nantes, meanwhile, may want to ensure Chirivella is their player at the earliest possible convenience, which may see him become unavailable for Liverpool for the rest of the Premier League season.
Whatever the case regarding this season, it appears that next season the Spanish talent will be looking to play more regular first-team football in France.
