Paulo Gazzaniga could leave Tottenham Hotspur in the final hours of the January transfer window, with the Daily Mail reporting that he is in talks with Elche over a loan move.
The goalkeeper has been third choice at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since Joe Hart’s arrival in the summer.

The Daily Mail reports that he is keen to secure a move away. And it appears that there is a chance that he could indeed leave imminently.
The report claims that talks with Elche over a loan move are underway. He may be tasked with trying to help the La Liga side get themselves out of trouble in the Spanish top flight.

They are currently second bottom having lost four of their last five.
A loan move should work well for all parties. Spurs will presumably offload a significant amount from their wage bill.
Meanwhile, Gazzaniga can perhaps put himself in the shop window ahead of the summer. Unfortunately, it looks unlikely that his long-term future lies with Tottenham.
He has had a chance as number one when Hugo Lloris has been injured in the past. And while he has produced some outstanding performances, he has not managed to dislodge the Frenchman when chances have come his way.
So he may now relish the opportunity to prove himself and perhaps earn himself a permanent move elsewhere.
