Rangers could be set to hand a contract to the nephew of former legend Paul Gascoigne.
According to The Daily Record, Gazza’s nephew Cameron Gascoigne might have done enough to earn himself a contract. He is reportedly close to being offered a deal at Ibrox.
Rangers recently took Gascoigne on trial. He is a free agent after leaving Newcastle United’s academy but a host of English clubs were interested too.

Gascoigne impressed enough in his initial stint to earn a second trial. The 18-year-old scored in a 3-0 win against Partick Thistle when playing for the Development Squad last Tuesday.
Sources close to the player suggest that he is edging closer to earning a deal at Rangers. If Gascoigne continues to impress when he returns for a second trial, he could find himself a new club. And moving to Rangers could allow Cameron to follow in the footsteps of his famed uncle.
TBR’s view
While sentiment might take over here, Rangers need to judge Cameron Gascoigne purely on his own ability. There can be no nepotism when they make the contract decision.
But it looks like the teenager is holding his own. Rangers fans could have a new Gazza to cheer on in the near future.
