Patrick Vieira would reportedly be prepared to hold talks with Newcastle United about their vacant managerial position.
According to the Sun, the 43-year-old would be willing to speak with the Magpies and is plotting a move back to the Premier League.
It is understood that the Frenchman is on a shortlist of potential candidates being considered by Newcastle to replace Rafael Benitez.
The report adds that Vieira does have his concerns about working with Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, who is public enemy number one with the club’s supporters.
Vieira would need clarity from Ashley about the potential sale of the club before moving to Newcastle, but does want to return to England after enjoying a stunning playing career with Arsenal.
Vieira is currently the manager of French top-flight club Nice, who he guided to a seventh-placed finish in Ligue 1 last season.
He also helped American outfit New York City FC improve during two years with them in his first senior job, but it still relatively young to managing.

TBR’s View:
Benitez’s exit this summer has hit most Newcastle fans hard and the dust is still settling.
It could be a toxic atmosphere going into the new campaign if Ashley still owns the club and it will take a brave manager to step into Benitez’s shoes.
Vieira is a developing talent that is at the early stages of his managerial career, but has some experiences and did a decent job with current club Nice during the last campaign.
He may be wise to stay clear of Newcastle for the meantime and wait for the right opportunity to arise.
