French outlet Le Parisien have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are considering a late move to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur, if Neymar opts to rejoin Barcelona.

Talks are continuing between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Neymar this summer, as Barcelona look to bring the Brazilian star back to the Nou Camp – two years after he left to move to Paris.

PSG have drawn up a two-man shortlist of replacements for Neymar, should the former Santos ace leave before September 2. It is believed Paulo Dybala – who almost joined Tottenham earlier this summer, is the French club’s main target.

But image rights scuppered moves to both Manchester United and Spurs and PSG are wary of that. It has convinced the French side to also target Eriksen, after first being linked earlier in the summer. Eriksen is in the final months of his contract.

Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that the Dane’s future is unsettling the squad. It is believed Eriksen is valued between £72.5million and £90million.

TBR’s view – Whatever the fee, Levy must accept Eriksen exit

The former Ajax star is beginning to have a detrimental effect on the Tottenham team, rather than improving it. Yes, his situation is not the only concern at Spurs but it is certainly the biggest one.

Getting rid of Eriksen is now crucial. If Spurs can bring in a decent fee – between £72.5million and £90million is very good money – then the club must agree to sell the left footer. His future is starting to cloud the club, and Daniel Levy must sell.
