Tottenham remain keen on signing Norwich City defender, Max Aarons, but any deal will be down to Fabio Paratici this summer.
That’s according to Alasdair Gold and Football London, who claim that Aarons is a player the club like, however it will be down to Paratici to ensure any deal goes ahead.
As reported last month, Spurs have held interest in Aarons for some time now. It is believed Norwich will want around £30m for the full-back.

Spurs will be encouraged by the Canaries’ willingness to sell some of their top stars. Emi Buendia recently joined Aston Villa, slipping the net of Arsenal and signing for Dean Smith’s men instead.
Football London claim that Sergue Aurier is going to leave the club this summer. The Ivorian, it’s believed, wants out of the club regardless.
But any move for Aarons will be down to Paratici. Daniel Levy has brought him in specifically for this sort of role. The Italian will need to identify and, ultimately, land players to improve the squad.
Of course, a new manager might also have a say. But Spurs cannot afford to wait around with Aarons, given other PL interest in him.
Aarons could be too expensive at £30m, Paratici might have other ideas
£30m on a right back is a lot of money. Yes, the club probably need someone in that position but they don’t need to break the bank, do they?
It will certainly be interesting to see how Paratici goes about his daily work with the club. We are no doubt in for a big summer, and a number of names are bound to be linked in the coming weeks.
Tottenham need summer signings but Max Aarons is a big outlay given the price. Paratici, then, might be best spending the money elsewhere.
