Tottenham Hotspur made contact with Tammy Abraham just before he completed his move to Roma, 90 Mins claim.
Last minute move
Tottenham have been tentatively linked with Abraham throughout the summer so far.
And it seems that Fabio Paratici did try and do a deal for the Chelsea forward, although they left their attempts too late.
The report says that Tottenham – as well as Arsenal – both spoke to Abraham’s representatives.
However, at that stage, Abraham was all set for a move to Roma.
New home
The striker, who was hailed as ‘unbelievable’ as Jack Grealish (Football London), was officially announced by the Italian club yesterday, where he will link up with former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.
Spurs will now have to look elsewhere at potential striking options, as they seek cover for Harry Kane.

Tottenham opted against signing Carlos Vinicius on a permanent deal this summer, which means that they have a gap in their squad up-front.
Abraham could have been an appealing addition, given that he is a proven scorer at Premier League level and, at the age of 23, still has room to develop.
However, whether Chelsea would have been willing to sanction a deal to allow Abraham to join Tottenham is very questionable, even if Spurs did try to talk to the player recently.
