Tottenham Hotspur ended the January transfer window with a bang after Fabio Paratici secured the signings of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus.
Spurs fans remained frustrated for most parts of the window due to the lack of business from their side. It almost looked like no deal will go over the line after Adama Traore and Luis Diaz rejected them, but Paratici did not give up.
The Italian raided his previous employers to sign two really good players. Bentancur is the aggressive midfielder that Conte loves. He is a proven winner and a player who could really change Spurs’ mentality.
Kulusevski is another one and if a report is to be believed, Paratici has high hopes for the Swede.
Paratici is convinced Dejan Kulusevski will be a star at Tottenham
Tottenham negotiated an 18-month loan deal for Kulusevski with Juventus. Spurs will also be obligated to buy him at the end of next season, but only if certain sporting criteria is met.
Football London reveal that Tottenham will pay £8.3 million for the loan deal, of which just £2.5 million will be paid this season. The clause that allows Spurs to buy Kulusevski is set at £29.2 million, which is payable over five years. That’s fantastic business.
The report further states that Paratici, who negotiated the deal with Juventus, is absolutely ‘certain’ that the Swede will impress in the Premier League and become a star very soon.

TBR View:
Tottenham new boy Kulusevski is a fantastic young attacker. He has all the qualities to become a top player and under a manager like Conte, he could really be a star in the coming months and years.
Even if the Swede goes on to fulfil the sporting criteria that would trigger the clause in his loan deal, Tottenham will have pulled off a brilliant piece of business.
Signing a player of Kulusevski’s quality for under £30 million is really good business considering that he’s still only 21 years old. He will only get better as the days go on and it’s no surprise that Paratici, who has seen a lot of him over in Italy, is convinced that he’ll be a star in the Premier League.
