A number of Tottenham Hotspur players are reportedly feeling a “sense of negativity” about how Jose Mourinho is managing the team, according to The Mirror.

Spurs’ form has taken a major downturn in recent weeks, with four defeats in their last five games in all competitions.

Liverpool, Brighton and Chelsea have all taken three points off Tottenham in the Premier League, while Everton have knocked the North Londoners out of the FA Cup.

Spurs are four points off top four and must now rely on the Europa League and their place in the League Cup final as the remaining chances of silverware.

According to The Mirror, some senior players are having doubts about Mourinho’s man management.

On top of that, it is reported that a sense of negativity has arisen among some players who feel the focus is on opposition tactics, defending and not enough on their own strengths.

TBR View:

Far from the swashbuckling, defensively compact outfit that looked up for a title challenge earlier this season, Spurs are now looking either vulnerable at the back, toothless up front, or both.

Harry Kane’s return to action has helped improve the attack, but individual errors at the back enabled Everton to put five goals past them in midweek.

Much like a year ago, Tottenham’s season now looks at risk of collapsing, and Mourinho has a lot of work to do to get his charges back on track.
