Arsenal are currently in the midst of an ownership battle, with Stan Kroenke not prepared to sell the Gunners amid interest from Daniel Ek and a number of Invincibles.

The north Londoners were one of the 12 European clubs in line to compete in the breakaway European Super League, a proposal which was met with unprecedented backlash.

Indeed, there was so much opposition to the idea that all six Premier League clubs involved withdrew from the prospective competition just two days after its inception.

Kroenke has faced intense criticism since his initial arrival in 2007 ahead of becoming a majority shareholder four years later.

And for many Gunners fans, the ESL fiasco was the last straw, and led to protests at the Emirates Stadium last Friday to protest KSE’s running of the club.

Ek, Spotify’s co-founder, has enlisted Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira to help him prepare a package that he hopes could tempt the Kroenkes to sell.

Kroenke reacted to the news on Tuesday night by issuing a statement saying he will not entertain any offers.

According to The Telegraph, however, Ek remains unmoved by Kroenke’s statement and it is understood he could reiterate his interest in buying Arsenal in the next 24 hours.

Furthermore, Ek is ready for a process that could last as long as six months as he attempts to change Kroenke’s position, added the report.

The outlet adds that Kroenke’s position may be shifted by the government’s fan-led review that could see legislation brought in on owners and the way they run their clubs.

Ek will reportedly push ahead to meet fans, with the promise that he will give them a say in the running of Arsenal, should he manage to successfully take control.
