Celtic could keep Odsonne Edouard for now, with a summer move more likely although the Bhoys will struggle to get the £35m they wanted for the Frenchman in the summer.
That is according to The Athletic, who claim that Edouard is likely to stay in Scotland in January until the summer, when talk of a move is likely to gather pace again.

However, it is claimed Celtic will not be getting anywhere near the £35m they set for the striker in the summer. The pandemic, plus the fact the striker is entering the last 18 months of his contract, means the Bhoys might have to settle for less.
Arsenal and Aston Villa were linked in the summer, while The Athletic states that PSG are also entitled to a hefty chunk of any fee due to a sell-on clause.
Edouard has scored seven SFPL goals this season but has looked a shadow of the player he was last term. But summer interest is bound to remain high, given his record, age, and potential.

TBR View: A matter of when, not if
There’s no doubt that Odsonne Edouard will move on and this season with Celtic, if anything, will have probably sped up his exit from the club.
Off field dramas, such as the recent trip to Dubai, Rangers’ dominance in the league, and the constant pressure under Neil Lennon, will probably ensure Celtic lose their star man.
Premier League clubs are likely to be lying in wait, especially with the reduced fee on offer.
