Report: Nuno set to start 'Extraordinary' Tottenham player for the very first time this evening against Pacos
Harry Kane is set to start for Tottenham Hotspur against Pacos De Ferreira later this evening in the UEFA Conference League, the Times say.
Kane to start
Kane’s future has been the subject of much speculation over the summer, with the Tottenham striker yet to start a game since Nuno came in.
However, Kane tweeted yesterday that he would be staying at Spurs rather than joining Manchester City.
And Nuno intends to make use of his main goalscorer straight away.
Kane came off the bench for Tottenham against Wolves at the weekend, but is now fit enough to play 90 minutes.
The England captain is now set to start, as Spurs look to overturn a deficit against their Portuguese opponents.
Tottenham lost 1-0 in the first leg, with Dane Scarlett playing up-front, but Nuno is expected to name a stronger line-up later.
Can Spurs comeback?
Tottenham should, therefore, have too much for Pacos De Ferreira to cope with, if they play to their best.
The return of Kane, who Pep Guardiola called extraordinary (Indian Express), will give Tottenham a greater threat going forward.
Spurs are still likely to name some youngsters in their team, with a game against Watford on the horizon.
But with Kane’s name on the team sheet they will now be heavy favourites to progress to the next round.
