Report: Nuno Santo is pushing Paratici to complete Spurs deal for Adama Traore
Spurs manager Nuno Santo is now actively urging Fabio Paratici to push a deal over the line for Adama Traore, according to reports.
Traore is said to be the number one choice now for Spurs and their new manager, as he looks to add more attacking flair in the next ten days
Pushing
We reported on TBR this morning, via Fabrizio Romano, that Spurs were now in direct discussions over Traore. And now 90Min have reported that it is indeed Nuno Santo who is leading the way when it comes to the Wolves man.
90Min claim Santo is pushing Paratici towards a deal for Traore. He wants the Spanish international in his squad before the window shuts, with Tottenham preparing a loan with a £40m obligation to buy deal.
Santo knows all about Traore from their time together at Wolves. He previously labelled him a ‘special player’, and he was reminded of Traore’s abilities yesterday.
Other clubs, including Liverpool and Leeds, have looked at Traore. But it appears it is Spurs who will get their man if all goes to plan.
TBR’s View: Santo knows what he wants
In a summer which has seen Paratici take the lead in transfer negotiations, it seems Nuno Santo is ready to throw his weight around now.
He obviously wants Traore. He wants that explosive power and speed in his Tottenham team, and clearly feels he can be a threat.
These loan to buy deals seem to be the theme of the window. Obviously, they come with an element of risk for both clubs involved. But Traore should be a banker for Spurs, and £40m might not be a bad price if he does have a good season.
