Report: Nuno puts 25-year-old Tottenham player up for sale, he's one of six who could leave
Tottenham Hotspur have decided to put Harry Winks up for sale, The Times report.
Up for grabs
There were claims in the Athletic that Winks would find out his Tottenham future this week when he met with Nuno.
And it seems that the new Spurs boss has deemed the midfielder expendable, as he builds his own team.
Winks struggled to break into Tottenham’s team last term under Jose Mourinho.
He did come back into the starting line-up for a spell with Ryan Mason in interim charge, but rarely performed up to a standard which suggested that Mourinho was wrong to leave him out.
The big clear out
Tottenham are now believed to be willing to listen to offers for the 25-year-old.
He is part of a sizeable number of players who Tottenham could clear out, according to the Times, with Serge Aurier, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sánchez, Eric Dier all also set to depart.
Winks’ exit could provide Tottenham with more funds for their own planned additions.
It could also pave the way for Oliver Skipp to make an impact in their senior squad, after impressing on loan at Norwich City last summer.
