Cameron Carter-Vickers was part of Tottenham Hotspur pre season training on Nuno’s first day in charge, Football London report.

Tottenham’s players returned to training yesterday, although a number of key stars were missing due to international commitments.

It seems that Nuno was keen to look at some fringe players though, with Carter-Vickers involved.

Pre-season under a new manager will be vital for all of Tottenham’s players, as they look to make good first impressions.

But the importance of Carter-Vickers catching the eye could not be more imperative.

An opportunity emerging?

The American international has been linked with a move away from Spurs, after spending numerous seasons out on loan.

The central defender appears to have a solid future at Championship level, but he has never been given a regular chance at Spurs.

Carter-Vickers didn’t play a game last season for Spurs, after being sent out on loan by Jose Mourinho.

Tottenham are looking for a centre-back though, and it may be that Nuno takes a serious look at his ability in the first few weeks of pre-season before deciding his future.
