There are a number of clubs who would be interested in signing Mateusz Klich from Leeds United this summer amid uncertainty over the midfielder’s Elland Road future, according to a report from The Athletic.
Klich is currently being lauded by many as being the player who changed the game on Saturday as Leeds beat Wolves 2-1 at Elland Road in their Premier League opener.

When the Poland international was introduced, Leeds were struggling to cope with Wolves. Any time Jesse Marsch’s men got on the ball, they seemed to give possession back within a couple of seconds. And they were unable to get out of their own half.
But Klich was able to give Leeds more of a presence in the middle of the park. And he played an important role in the winning goal. He slid a trademark pass through the lines into the path of Patrick Bamford.

It was a reminder of the kind of impact Klich can make. Unfortunately for the 32-year-old, there is a major question mark over his role in the squad.
Marsch has previously spoken of being willing to let him go ahead of the World Cup. And it seems that he may be one of the most likely players to move on before the deadline passes.
According to a report from The Athletic, there are a number of teams in Europe who would sign Klich in this window.
Number of clubs interested in signing Klich
Leeds have already lost a couple of key players this summer. So it would be disappointing for many if Klich now moved on.
He has been a fan favourite almost since the moment Marcelo Bielsa brought him back into the fold. And he has repaid that faith with several moments of ‘class‘.
But there is no longer a clear pathway to the starting lineup for Klich. Leeds had seven first-team players absent from their squad to face Wolves. And with that, a role off the bench is not even a guarantee for him.
It would be sad if Klich’s time at Leeds ended with a lengthy spell on the periphery of the squad. But with that, all parties may need to seriously consider a sale in the coming weeks.
