Barcelona are set to recall Marcus McGuane from his current loan and are in discussions with Nottingham Forest about sending the 20-year-old to the City Ground, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
It has been a busy start to the week for Sabri Lamouchi’s men on the transfer front.

Jack Robinson has left the club to join Sheffield United, while Adama Diakhaby has become Forest’s first signing of the window after joining on loan from Huddersfield Town.
And it appears that Forest could soon have another name through the door.

The Daily Mail reports that the promotion-chasers have opened talks with Barca about taking McGuane on loan for the rest of the campaign.
The report notes that the former Arsenal trainee is set to be recalled from his spell at Telstar. It is suggested that Forest is his most likely destination.
McGuane would be an interesting signing for Forest. He has made 14 league starts in the Netherlands, scoring once and providing three assists.
He found it difficult holding down a spot in Barcelona B’s side last term. McGuane was an unused substitute on 24 occasions, starting just seven times.
But he joins a Forest side who are absolutely flying right now. They top the Championship form table and are closing in on the top two.
And Lamouchi will be hoping that McGuane can prove to be an inspired addition that helps see Forest across the line.
