Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Arsenal centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos on loan during the January transfer window, according to report from Greek outlet Sporttime.
It would perhaps not be a huge surprise to see Mavropanos on the move next month. The 22-year-old has not featured in the Premier League this season, with his one appearance coming in the Europa League earlier this month.

Sporttime reports that Olympiacos have been linked with the former Greece under-21 international. But it now appears that one of Evangelos Marinakis’s other clubs could be the ones to sign the defender when the window opens.
According to Sporttime, a loan to the City Ground looks most likely at this stage.

TBR View – Forest’s defence would leave Mavropanos with tough task
Mavropanos – who earns £25,000-a-week at the Emirates (via Spotrac) – may drop down a level. But it is not a given that he would enjoy regular football if he moved to Forest for the rest of the campaign.
Sabri Lamouchi’s men are well-placed in the Championship promotion race. And they have conceded just 21 goals so far this season. Only three teams have conceded fewer.
It is probably a smart move to bolster the options in January. Forest are just three points off third and have a game in hand over all of their promotion rivals.
There looks to be a fantastic opportunity for Forest to go up this season. And Mavropanos may now be weighing up whether he wants to be a part of the push.
