Tottenham and Liverpool are set for disappointment in their pursuit of Roma midfielder, Nicolo Zaniolo, with the Italian set to pen a new deal with the Rome giants.
The 21-year-old is hot property heading into the summer and has attracted admiring glances from a number of clubs, including Liverpool and Spurs.

However, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claims that Zaniolo is now set to put pen to paper on a new deal with Roma, putting an end to any potential summer move away this year.
Zaniolo joined Roma from Inter Milan and has since gone on to impress, albeit with a few hiccups along the way.
The Guardian claimed just two days ago that Spurs were dead keen on Zaniolo. The midfielder has scored six times this term and caught the eye of Jose Mourinho.

Liverpool, on the other hand, were linked by the Express back in June. At the time, a £53m fee was mentioned as what Roma were looking for their man.
A top talent but one that looks like staying put for now – TBR View
Zaniolo would have been a potentially brilliant signing for both clubs but the keyword there is potential.
The Italian has had his ups and downs in Rome despite coming good this season on the pitch. While it’s clear the talent is there, there’s also an element of risk given his young age and potential for losing concentration.
Liverpool, in particular, were stung by Roma with the transfer of Alberto Aquilani. They’d want to avoid that again for sure.
Spurs, meanwhile, are hopeful of landing Hojberg from Southampton still, so Zaniolo may not be a priority for now.
