Newcastle United are reportedly primed to offer around £13 million to prise Moussa Marega away from FC Porto.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the Magpies are keen to sign the Mali international, who only has a year left on his contract.
Marega, 29, has been with the club since 2016 after signing from Maritimo and has scored 60 goals in 145 appearances in total.

A Bola say Marega has informed Porto officials that he will not be signing any contract extensions, meaning he will likely be leaving in a cut-price deal – despite having a €30 million/£27 million release clause.
It is also claimed Marega’s preference is the Premier League.
Newcastle are widely believed to be in the hunt for a new goalscorer given the struggles of club-record signing Joelinton last term.
There was also little in the way of support from the likes of Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and the rarely seen Yoshinori Muto.
TBR’s View – A potential bargain
Marega could be a fine addition by Steve Bruce.

The 24-cap international is known for being a bit of a handful as well as a goalscorer, suggesting he could be the man to take over from Salomon Rondon – something Joelinton has struggled to do so far.
His goal record in Portugal is certainly respectable, so he could be the ideal man to keep Newcastle away from any relegation battles in 2020/21 – and for the price mentioned, it’s arguable his signing would be fairly low-risk.
