French website Le10Sport have claimed that Newcastle United are interested in signing Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer – but face competition from West Ham United and Watford for the French ace.
Bakayoko, 25, has been on loan at former club Monaco this season after struggling to get a game at Chelsea. Despite 43 appearances in his first season at Chelsea, he has since been loaned to Milan and then Monaco.
Another summer of doubt is approaching with Bakayoko seemingly surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge. The latest report claims Newcastle and Watford have joined West Ham in the race for the France international.
AC Milan, Bakayoko’s former loan side, and Patrick Vieira’s Nice are also interested in the midfielder – who has two years left on his £110,000-a-week (Spotrac) contract. Whether a takeover is needed, remains to be seen.

TBR’s view – Bakayoko interest a sign Bentaleb will leave?
Since joining on loan from Schalke, ex-Tottenham star Bentaleb has played eight times for Newcastle but has seemingly lost his spot in central midfield to Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden.
The Chronicle have claimed that £8.5million is needed to sign Bentaleb permanently, but given he is no longer in the starting line-up at Newcastle – The Toon will surely decide against signing him. Interest in Bakayoko could hint at that.
Bakayoko has returned to London following France’s suspension of football.
