Report claims Newcastle have just sealed deal for third January signing
Newcastle United have been linked with Bruno Guimaraes over the past few days.
After some disappointments in the January transfer window, negotiations over the Lyon ace appeared to be proceeding smoothly.
And now, according to talkSPORT, Newcastle have got the Guimaraes deal over the line.
The outlet reported on Thursday night that the Magpies have come to an agreement with the French side.
Newcastle will pay £30million for the Brazil international, added the outlet.
The Magpies have already signed Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood this month.
And talkSPORT claims that Guimaraes has become Eddie Howe’s third signing of the January transfer window.

Obviously, until the signing club and the selling club make official announcements, it’s best to exercise caution.
But what a signing for Newcastle if true.
Arsenal and Spurs were also linked with Guimaraes, but now it looks as though the Magpies have beaten them to the player.
He has become a key part of the Lyon side since arriving from Athletico Paranaense in January 2020.
Guimaraes has played 71 times for the Ligue 1 club, scoring three times.
The 24-year-old has also won three caps for Brazil and is on the bench against Ecuador tonight.
On Wednesday, Whoscored described Guimaraes as a “game-changing” signing for Newcastle if they landed him.
“Newcastle are primed to land a top quality player who’ll be crucial in their bid to beat the drop and immediately upgrades an area that needs improvement,” they wrote.
“Yes, a new centre-back remains high on their list of priorities. But in Guimaraes, Howe will have one of the best all-rounded, box-to-box midfielders on the continent to call upon.”
