A report from Turkish outlet Fotospor has claimed that Newcastle United will be amongst the group of clubs set to send scouts to watch Alexander Sorloth this weekend.
Sorloth has been sensational since joining Trabzonspor on loan in the summer. The Norwegian has scored 17 goals in 21 games for the league leaders. He has also provided six assists in the top flight.

Fotospor has claimed that Monaco, Brighton and Newcastle will send representatives to watch Sorloth in action against Besiktas this weekend.
It is noted by Fotospor that Trabzonspor have the option to sign Sorloth on a permanent basis.

Another chance in the Premier League for Sorloth?
Sorloth currently remains on Crystal Palace’s books. BBC Sport reports that he cost the Eagles £9 million, but he scored one goal in 20 appearances for the club in all competitions.
That record may alarm a lot of Newcastle and Brighton fans. But he has arguably proved a point since leaving Selhurst Park in the summer.
However, it does appear that the Magpies may face an uphill battle if they hope to sign Sorloth in the summer. As noted, Trabzonspor reportedly have an option to sign the 24-year-old permanently.
Given his form, it surely seems more than likely that they will do all they can to make a permanent move happen.
But perhaps Steve Bruce is keeping an eye on the forward in case there is a twist in store and a move to St James’ Park becomes possible.
