Newcastle United’s board will release the funds for one new signing in January, according to The Telegraph.
Steve Bruce will be allowed to add one more player to his squad and he has already set his sights on a top target. Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen is the man Bruce wants to improve his Newcastle side.
Bowen’s success in the Championship is no secret. The 22-year-old has been in top form for Hull over the past three seasons and he continues to score goals this season.

With 16 goals in 21 games this season, Bowen is leading the line for Hull. Operating on the right flank, Bowen is lethal when he cuts inside and uses his favoured left foot.
Newcastle’s attack has been short of goals this season so Bruce is looking to add some firepower. Bowen is the top target but there are doubts over whether Hull would let him leave midway through the season.
TBR’s view
It would be a real statement of intent if Newcastle could land Bowen. The youngster has the ability to finish off Newcastle’s chances and help them climb up the league table.
Bowen should be aiming to replicate James Maddison’s rise. Newcastle could be an exciting new challenge for the Hull star.
