Newcastle United are apparently still ‘very interested’ in signing Paris Saint-Germain defender Stanley N’Soki this summer.
That’s from French outlet Paris United, who also claim Borussia Dortmund, Lille and Marseille are all keen on the 20-year-old.
N’Soki is out of favour at the Parc des Princes and has made just 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
He is behind Juan Bernat and Layvin Kurzawa in the pecking order, and it would seem the French champions are ready to let N’Soki depart. He strangely hasn’t featured since the club wrapped up the league title against AS Monaco on April 21.
Newcastle actually made £10 million bid for N’Soki last summer – as reported by The Guardian at the time – but the club ultimately failed in their pursuit of the highly rated defender.
Newcastle have serious competition for N’Soki a year on from their previous failure by the sounds of it.
Left-back is a position they definitely need to invest in and N’Soki could be a tremendous acquisition.
Attack-minded, N’Soki would suit playing a wing-back role and his potential is vast.
There will be no guarantees this summer regarding Newcastle in the transfer market, but this is one possibility that fans should be hoping to see come to fruition.
