Newcastle United want Arnaud Kalimuendo and a move for the Paris Saint-Germain star could accelerate quickly – in news that could deal a big blow to Leeds United, according to a report from Media Foot.
Kalimuendo could well end the transfer window as a Premier League player. He impressed while on loan with Lens last season, scoring 13 goals in all competitions.

However, he is not in PSG’s plans. And with that, they are open to selling the 20-year-old for £21.2 million. His admirers in England have not been put off by the price either.
Media Foot reports that Leeds and Leicester want the youngster. However, it appears that Newcastle may soon be in the driving seat.

It is claimed that the Magpies have taken a big step towards a deal. And talks concerning a move could now accelerate imminently.
Newcastle close in on Leeds target Kalimuendo
The reports will certainly worry Leeds supporters. There were claims on Monday that the Whites have given up on trying to sign Charles De Ketelaere. And the player they planned to pursue instead was Kalimuendo.
Leeds have already offered £17 million for the PSG prospect. So they are not far away from meeting his asking price.
So watching him end up at Newcastle would be a big disappointment for many at Elland Road.
The Magpies meanwhile, will have made another exciting signing. Of course, Newcastle are no strangers to being linked with a young French striker. They have been pursuing Hugo Ekitike for much of the past few months.
Perhaps it may now be Kalimuendo who ends up on Tyneside following these latest developments.
