Newcastle United have been busy in the January transfer window.
The Magpies have already made two big signings in Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood.
Up next for Newcastle could be a centre-back, amid intense speculation linking them with Diego Carlos.

Centre-forward is no longer an urgent priority in wake of Wood’s arrival at St James’ Park.
However, there’s certainly scope for Newcastle to further bolster their attacking ranks.
According to L’Equipe – via Sport Witness – the Magpies are now eyeing a former teammate of Allan Saint-Maximin.
That player is Alassane Plea, currently plying his trade for Borussia Monchengladbach.
Newcastle have reportedly ‘sounded out’ the £20.7million player, who ‘could be sold this winter or in the summer’.
The outlet claims there’s little chance of Plea renewing his contract, which expires in 2023.
Newcastle are apparently ‘interested in the profile’ of the 28-year-old.
Indeed, L’Equipe claims the Magpies have even ‘gathered information’ from Saint-Maximin.
The two have been friends since their season together at Nice in 2017-18.
Plea, who has won one France cap, has made 20 appearances in all competitions, including 18 in the Bundesliga.

However, he has started just 11 games this season, and has registered three goals and one assist.
Can Newcastle land a player who’s like Harry Kane?
The Bundesliga website has compared Plea to the Tottenham ace and England captain.
“His style… perhaps most resembles one of his contemporaries – England No.9 Harry Kane,” they wrote.
“At Nice, Plea often played on the left side of an attacking trident, with Balotelli starting in the middle – although he has admitted that it’s not his favourite position.
“Since joining Gladbach, he has been shifted into the centre – with Marcus Thuram taking that left-sided spot – and has turned into one of the most clinical finishers in Europe.”
Plea has also described himself as a “fighter” – a trait Newcastle certainly need at this moment in time.
