Newcastle United are ready to make an offer for Jarrod Bowen, but are unlikely to go near his £22 million valuation.
The Yorkshire Post claim Steve Bruce is to be given the green light to pursue the winger, who is someone he’s been tracking for a while.
Hull aren’t under pressure to sell cheaply, and want top dollar if they are to lose their talisman mid-season.

Apparently Newcastle want Bowen, but value him nearer to £12 million, which could make a successful transfer difficult.
Meanwhile, City have offered him a new contract to double his wages, and apparently quadruple if the club seal promotion to the Premier League.
If he doesn’t sign, the club will trigger an option to extend his existing deal by 12 months.
TBR’s view – Newcastle should pay up
Newcastle surely can’t go in with an offer of £12 million, which could be deemed derisory.
Bowen has been ripping up the Championship in recent times and is a player with huge talent and a lot of potential to improve at just 23 years old.

Given the level of interest in him, Newcastle would be running the risk of losing out which would be painful for Bruce given how much he is a fan.
Newcastle are fairly solid at the back, but adding Bowen can massively help them to become a bit more threatening in the final third, which is why an offer much nearer to his valuation should be lodged.
