Report: Newcastle now want to sign 'exceptional' 24-year-old player just after he's won promotion
Newcastle United want Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham as Eddie Howe continues his attempts to bolster his defence.
The Mirror report that the Magpies are keen on the 24-year-old, who has just one year remaining on his Craven Cottage contract.
Newcastle and Howe of course have money available to spend this summer but they have so far tried to be smart and targeting a player with a dwindling deal is a continuation of that.
Newcastle were linked with Tosin ahead of the January window, Howe’s first in charge, but Dan Burn was the defender the club brought in.

Newcastle want Tosin Adarabioyo
The Times claim Adarabioyo has been on Newcastle’s radar since Steve Bruce was in charge.
Links to a Steve Bruce target may not go down perfectly with every Newcastle fan, but Howe’s transfer business was brilliant in January and he has earned the trust that comes with that.
He is a talented defender, who is the right age to improve and he impressed last time Fulham were in the Premier League.
Tosin is now back in the big time after earning promotion with Fulham, and will hope to shine in the top flight next term regardless of who he is turning out for.
Tosin has been hailed as ‘exceptional‘ and he could be a cost-effective deal, which allows Newcastle to spend more money elsewhere.
Sven Botman has been chased extensively, and it is not really a secret that he is the defender Newcastle would dearly love to sign.
But Tosin has Premier League experience, time to improve and would have one eye on breaking into the England squad if he was shining in the best league in the world, given Gareth Southgate’s relative lack of options in that area of the pitch.
