The Chronicle have claimed that Newcastle United are keen to offload left-sided flyer Christian Atsu before Friday’s 11pm deadline, and have already offered the Ghana international to a couple of clubs.
Newcastle have reportedly agreed a move to sign Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, which has seen The Toon seemingly beat the likes of Watford, Bournemouth and other Premier League sides. A loan fee is £2million, but there is no option to buy.
That is according to the Chronicle, who claim that as a result of Rose’s signing – injured Paul Dummett may have to be taken out of the Premier League squad in order to accomodate Rose. But Newcastle are looking to include Rose another way.
Steve Bruce is seemingly desperate to get rid of Ki Sung-yueng who is surplus to requirements at Newcastle, but Bruce is now also willing to offload £6.2m signing (Mail) Atsu – despite the Ghana cap making 22 outings this season.

TBR’s view – Atsu starred for Newcastle, but it is time to move on
Loaned to Newcastle from Chelsea in the Championship, Atsu played a crucial part in Rafa Benitez’s promotion-winning side. He scored five goals and created eight more despite starting just 15 of his 32 Championship appearances.
Since then, he has scored three goals since Newcastle returned to the Premier League. Unfortunately for the ex-Everton and Bournemouth loanee, he simply is not good enough for the top tier and a move to the Championship is best.
