Newcastle United are reportedly keeping an eye on Eddie Nketiah’s situation at Arsenal this summer as Steve Bruce looks to make improvements to his attacking options at the club.
According to The Telegraph, Bruce is keeping tabs on both Nketiah and Liverpool’s young striker, Rhian Brewster. Both players could be available on loan and Bruce will move for them even if he gets Callum Wilson over the line in the coming days.

The news comes as the Magpies have reportedly had a £13m offer for Norwich full-back, Jamal Lewis, accepted. The young Canaries star is expected to complete a move in the coming days, while it’s also claimed Bruce is confident of landing Bournemouth ace, Wilson.
The Newcastle boss appears to be making moves in the market before next weekend’s big kick-off. However, the addition of Nketiah to his watch-list is a new one.

Nketiah featured pretty regularly under Mikel Arteta last season after an up and down spell with Leeds in the Championship. He is in fine form of late, though, after bagging a hat-trick for the England under-21s this weekend.
Nketiah would bring goals but it’s hard to see Arsenal allowing him out – TBR View
While the signing of the Gunners forward would be a good one for Newcastle, it’s hard to see how Arsenal allow him out once again.
He impressed under Arteta, who seemingly likes the youngster. In addition, Alexandre Lacazette may still leave the club, leaving Arsenal short of options through the middle of their front three.
Nketiah is a quality young player who’d be more than welcome on Tyneside but it’s hard to imagine the Gunners letting him leave without some major investment in striking areas.
