Newcastle United are reportedly interested in a potential deal for Reims striker Boulaye Dia.
The Chronicle claim Magpies scouts have been left impressed by the 23-year-old, who is actually currently leading the goalscoring charts in Ligue 1 at the moment.

Dia has plundered eight goals in eight matches, putting him one ahead of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
The highlight of his season so far came against Montpellier, whom he hit a hat-trick against in a 4-0 victory.
Dia has been vital for Reims, who would be in the relegation zone if not for his goals – they currently sit 16th on nine points having won two, drawn three and lost five of their 10 games.
In 59 appearances for the club, Dia now has 20 goals, and is supposedly valued at around £7 million.
TBR’s View – Dia could be shrewd pickup
Newcastle made a brilliant signing in Callum Wilson in the summer, but there is arguably still need for another forward at St. James’ Park.

Steve Bruce has Andy Carroll and Joelinton by neither are prolific, and Dwight Gayle’s injury record is a concern.
Dia would undoubtedly be a gamble, but his versatility could make him one worth taking.
Clearly he has something about him to have bagged eight times already in 2020/21.
