Newcastle United are interested in Adama Traore, with 90min reporting that the Magpies are battling Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United for the Spain international’s signature.
It had seemed that Traore’s Premier League admirers had missed their chance to sign the Wolves man. He completed a dream move to Barcelona in January, initially signing on loan.

However, his return to the Nou Camp did not go to plan. And Barca have passed up the opportunity to sign him permanently.
90min reports that he is still set to leave Wolves. Reports have previously claimed that Antonio Conte is still keen to sign him for Tottenham. Meanwhile, Leeds are also in the running.

But 90min now adds that Newcastle also want Traore. The Magpies have previously enquired about signing the 26-year-old.
Newcastle interested in Adama Traore
Traore returns with a point to prove. It would have surprised some when he got the chance to join Barcelona. He is clearly a player with devastating potential. However, he has come in for criticism.
His return of 11 goals in 154 games for Wolves is not good enough given his talent. He has also only provided 18 assists in that time.
It is clear just how dangerous he could be if a manager can get the best out of him. He was labelled ‘very special‘ by Nuno Espírito Santo.
And that is why several teams remain keen on signing Traore this summer. It is a potential gamble given that Barca would have paid £29 million to make his deal permanent.
Eddie Howe will be aware that having Traore and Allan Saint-Maximin in the same team could be absolutely lethal. But clearly, Newcastle are not going to have a clear run to his signature.
At least Wolves are ready to let him go.
