Newcastle are willing to spend £6 million to sign Anthony Martial on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season, according to a report from The Sun.
The Magpies are continuing to prepare for a vital January transfer window. Eddie Howe’s men remain inside the bottom three in the Premier League.

It would appear that Kieran Trippier is set to move to St James’ Park. Recent reports suggested that agreeing personal terms is expected to be straightforward should a fee with Atlético Madrid be negotiated.
And he may not be the only marquee name on the radar. The Sun reports that they want Martial, who knows that he needs to leave Old Trafford.

Juventus are also admirers. But The Sun suggests that Newcastle are prepared to pay the hefty loan fee to blow the Old Lady out of the water.
Meanwhile, the Magpies are also keen on Edin Dzeko. Dzeko only moved to Inter Milan from Roma in the summer. The 35-year-old has gone on to score eight goals in 20 Serie A games.
Newcastle loaning Anthony Martial in January transfer window would be huge statement from Magpies
Newcastle’s biggest issue in January is surely going to be attracting the players that they can now afford. A loan move however, could make that a lot easier.
Martial – who reportedly earns £250,000-a-week – would surely have no interest in signing permanently right now. But a loan move could be ideal for all parties.
Newcastle get a striker who, on his day, can be world class. Martial gets the opportunity to prove himself after a torrid time. And Manchester United have a fringe player putting themselves in the shop window.
