Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing defender Djibril Sidibe from French top-flight club Monaco this summer.
According to RMC Sport, the Magpies have commenced talks with the Ligue 1 outfit about their right-back.
It is understood that the 26-year-old could be the latest player of Monaco’s 2016/17 title-winning team to exit.
The report details that there have also been approaches from other English teams for the in demand full-back.
France Football have already reported that West Ham and Crystal Palace are keen on Sidibe this summer for a bargain £13million price.

TBR’s View:
Sidibe looks like he could be on the move to England for the first time in his career and he could turn out to be a real success wherever he turns out.
The Frenchman should be entering the peak years of his career and has already achieved so much with Monaco.
He’s won a league title, played in the Champions, and also earned 18 senior caps for reigning World Champions France.
Sidibe is a real athlete that always joins in with attacks flooding forward from full-back and he’s got the physical attributes to cope with the Premier League.
Newcastle would certainly be landing a bargain if they can win the race for Sidibe at around £13million and reportedly beginning talks for him is a positive step.
