Newcastle United are still looking for a new manager and reports from 90Min now claim that their search has taken them to Leonardo Jardim.
The 47-year-old is currently working in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, and will be well known to certain members of the PIF Group. He is better known in Europe for spells with Monaco and Sporting Lisbon.
Jardim has won titles in Greece and France, and is well-respected on the European circuit. 90Min reports that Newcastle could turn to Jardim, despite both Lucien Favre and Paulo Fonseca impressing in the interview process.

PIF and the new consortium in charge at St James’ Park are taking their time when it comes to Steve Bruce’s replacement. Graeme Jones is being trusted for now, but it is expected that the Magpies will bring someone new in shortly.
Jardim, 47, could well be the newest name doing the rounds it seems.
TBR’s View: Jardim to Newcastle out of the blue!
A number of names have been mentioned over the last few weeks but Jardim has seemingly come out of nowhere. The links to Saudi Arabia are obvious, so maybe there is something in that.
For the others interested, the wait goes on it seems. Fonseca will feel especially mistreated, given he’s now been in the running for both the Newcastle and Tottenham job.
Jardim will likely be an unknown quantity for Newcastle fans. But he does have big experience already despite being under 50. Certainly, he could have enough in the locker to at least keep them up.
