According to a report from The Sun, Newcastle United, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all keen on Ben Davies, but it is Brighton and Hove Albion who lead the race for the Preston North End star.
Davies has played a key role in helping Alex Neil’s men move up to third in the Championship. The 24-year-old has played every minute so far, and The Sun reports that Preston plan to offer the centre-back a new contract.

However, The Sun adds that a host of Premier League sides are keen on signing Davies. The report suggests that the Seagulls lead the charge and plan to make a move in January.
Meanwhile, Newcastle, Everton and Wolves are also interested in the £10 million-rated Englishman, who has really caught the eye with his ability and composure when it comes to playing out from the back.

TBR’s View
Brighton already have a host of centre-backs at their disposal. So it perhaps leaves the door open for another side to seize the advantage if they make a bid at the same time.
Newcastle actually appear in a similar position with a number of decent options at the back. Everton and Wolves however, arguably need greater depth in that position.
Nuno Espirito Santo continues to work with a small squad. It would be no surprise if he wanted greater depth in January, particularly if his side are still in the Europa League and need a little extra in the league.
Marco Silva also arguably needs greater numbers at centre-back. Davies may be untested at the highest level, but he looks to have the potential to be a shrewd addition for one of the top flight sides chasing his signature.
