Newcastle United want Rasmus Hojlund of Sturm Graz as they continue their pursuit of a new striker this summer.
The Athletic claim that the teenager is one of a number of forwards on the Magpies’ shortlist as they look for more firepower.
It is not clear how hard they are going to chase him, but they still want an alternative to Chris Wood and Callum Wilson.
They pushed hard for Hugo Ekitike, but ultimately he decided to go to Paris Saint-Germain after being chased by Newcastle for two consecutive transfer windows.

Newcastle want Rasmus Hojlund
Hojlund has hit the ground running for the Austrian outfit this season and he already has five goals to his name, as per Transfermarkt.
One of those came last night in the third round of Champions League qualification, when he levelled their tie with Dynamo Kiev on the night.
That took it to extra time but they were eliminated by two extra time goals to end their hopes of dining at European football’s top table ended for another year.

Graz have now dropped into the Europa League, where they will compete with the likes of Manchester United this season.
It is that competition Newcastle may well target this season, and could do with some extra firepower to help them qualify.
Will they push hard for the prolific teenager? Time will tell, as the days tick by until the end of the transfer window.
