Newcastle United are reportedly also now in the hunt for Championship star Said Benrahma.
The Algeria international is said to be closing in on a move to West Ham United, with the Irons and Brentford in advanced talks over a deal that could be worth in the region of £30 million (Sky Sports).
The Hammers are looking to take advantage of the domestic window closing a little later than the international window to land arguably the Championship’s best player.

But they may not have it easy, with the Daily Star reporting Newcastle are also interested in Benrahma.
The Magpies are supposedly keen on the 25-year-old, despite having already signed Ryan Fraser after his contract expired at Bournemouth, as are Premier League new boys Fulham.
It remains to be seen if West Ham’s reported negotiations are just too far advanced for Newcastle to potentially hijack the deal.
TBR’s View – West Ham can’t let Newcastle steal Benrahma
West Ham are seemingly in a great position to land Benrahma, but they absolutely have to get it over the line.

Newcastle’s reported interest is not ideal, and so officials must work quickly before the Magpies can launch a bid of their own.
It would be a major blow for the Hammers if they miss out on such a talented player, especially after their lack of activity in the international window.
