Arsenal are reportedly willing to triple the wages of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey, according to Diario AS.
The report claims that Arsenal want to offer Partey the massive wage increase in order to secure his services ahead of a new competitor in the race, Napoli.
The Italian side are considering Partey as a replacement for Allan. Napoli could even offer Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik in exchange as they are set to sign Victor Osimhen from Lille.
That would offset the price-tag slightly, with Atletico standing firm on the release clause of €50 million (£45m) for the Ghanaian midfield dynamo. Napoli value Milik at €40 million (£36m), which would see the Partey deal come into sight.

Arsenal are likely to make a move for Partey this summer as he has been consistently linked with a move to The Emirates to help strengthen the Gunners midfield.
As for those wages, it has previously been reported by The Guardian that Partey is currently on £65,000-a-week at the Estadio Metropolitano.
That means Arsenal would be offering Partey a wage in the region of £195,000-a-week which would put him among the highest earners at The Emirates.
Arsenal might also need to consider Napoli’s approach regarding swapping a player in order to secure his services, as that current price-tag looks beyond their capabilities this summer.
