Report: Napoli keen on Victor Osimhen, Liverpool and Arsenal also remain keen

Arsenal and Liverpool face a fight on their hands to land Victor Osimhen, with his agent confirming that Napoli are showing serious interest in the striker.

According to a report from Football Italia, Osimhen’s agent, Ariyo Igbayilola, claims that Napoli are “100%” interested in signing the Lille striker.

The news comes as a whole host of Premier League clubs continue to monitor Osimhen’s situation. The likes of Tottenham and Arsenal are both keen, while Liverpool have also been credited with an interest.

However, Napoli’s interest could well spark PL clubs into life if they are serious about doing a deal. The Naples club are likely to be in the market for a new striker if they lose Arkadiusz Milik.

Coincidentally, Milik is also being courted by clubs in the Premier League.

Osimhen has shot to prominence this season with 18 goals for the French outfit. He caught the attention of English fans with a goal against Chelsea in the Champions League back in October.

There’s always something suspicious when agents start openly talking about their players and clubs involved.

Osimhen’s agent certainly doesn’t seem shy. He’s named clubs, spoken of meetings with Jose Mourinho, and claimed his player will leave Lille regardless this summer.

This is something for Arsenal to be wary of if they do pursue a deal. They don’t want an agent who holds people to ransom and causes problems.

If things go badly, Osimhen’s agent may well end up talking his client out of any deal whatsoever this summer.
