Italian outlet Calcio In Pillole claim that Napoli are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez. A fee of £25million is said to be needed for Spurs to consider selling the Colombian.

Napoli are expected to be on the lookout for a centre-back in January. They have just sanctioned the sale of Kostas Manolas, who is to return to his home country and join Super League winners Olympiakos.

They need a replacement. Torino’s Gleison Bremer – a target for Tottenham – is on the list, as are a few other names from around Europe. Sanchez is also listed as a target, with a fee of £25million needed to sign him.

Sanchez is struggling for game time under Antonio Conte. When all defenders are fit, Sanchez struggles to get into the side – with Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies first choice under the Italian gaffer.

Napoli eye Sanchez: Tottenham should snap their hand off for £25m

Signed by Tottenham from Ajax for a fee almost double that fee, it simply has not worked out for Sanchez at Spurs. The defender has become renowned for being somewhat error prone, costing his side a goal on a regular basis.

The defender is some way off the likes of Romero and Dier. Spurs are likely to bring in a left-sided defender too, to compete with Davies. Joe Rodon covers Dier, while Japhet Tanganga covers Romero.

If a fee of £25million is received for Sanchez, then Spurs really need to cash in on the South American defender.
