Napoli are convinced that Arkadiusz Milik is set to leave the club this summer, with Corriere dello Sport reporting that the Tottenham Hotspur target is training away from the rest of the squad.

Jose Mourinho recently confirmed that he wanted to add a striker to his squad before the window shuts (via Football London).

And Tottenham fans would be forgiven for feeling that Milik is the standout candidate as the deadline looms. He has scored 38 goals in Serie A across the last four seasons, including 28 strikes in the last two campaigns.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Milik would have no problem acting as an understudy to Harry Kane. And it appears that his side are preparing for his potential departure.

The report claims that Napoli are convinced that he will leave this summer. His asking price is said to be around £23 million.

And Corriere dello Sport adds that Milik is currently training alone.

The ball looks to be completely in Tottenham’s court at this stage. Of course, they may have concerns about his asking price given that his contract expires next summer.

But Spurs will surely do well to find a better backup than Milik. They need a player who is good enough to contribute while also being willing to bide their time for a chance up front.

Milik is reportedly happy to take that role. And with Napoli convinced that his exit is imminent, Tottenham surely cannot afford to pass up the opportunity.
